Switch off Status Updates in Sametime Groupchat

Problem/Query:

In Sametime group chats, status messages such as “… is offline” or “… is away” can flood the chat field unnecessarily.

Is there a way to turn this off?

Hi, @Andrew_Fastow

You may disable this by going to:

  1. File menu > Preferences > Sametime > Chat Window and Transcript.
  2. In the Chat Transcript Display Settings, uncheck the Chat partner’s status updates.
  3. Then click Apply and Close.

Thank you for your reply. I have already tried this but unfortunately it does not work. Staus updates are still displayed when chat participants leave the chat.
