Hey.
I’m working on a project to present data in a bar chart from our helpdesk db in a web browser. There are some nice sample code that I can use (thanks Jake Howlett) on SVG Bar Chart Database | Tue 11 Jun 2002 | Blog | CodeStore
So what I want to do is: from the NAB, lookup the members of a group of supporters. For each supporter I want to present 4 bars showing 4 different types of status on that supporters helpdesk indcidents.
For this to work (since number of supporters in the group is dynamic) I need to do some kind of loop, that will take first supporter, draw 4 bars, next supporter, draw 4 other bars next to the first one and so on…
My current idea is to put 1 huuuge on the SVG form that will via @for will cycle through supporters, and then their incidents. I haven’t started coding on this yet, because of the time involved (I have to consider the screen resolution and number of supporters to fit the bars on the page). So before I try this, could someone think of a better way to approach this? Maybe think outside the box?
Thanks in advance
