Ok - so I’m testing the Notes 6.5.1 client while our server base is still R5.
I have a local replica of my mail database, and this local replica has been updated to the 6.5.1 mail template.
I then have 2 location documents - one for online (server-based mail) and one for “offline” (local mail DB with replication).
This worked well for a while. When switching between the online and offline locations, the panes in the Workplace/Welcome Page/Portal Thingy would switch too.
But now … for no apparent reason (that I’m aware of anyway) the portal has stopped switching the content of the panes when I switch location.
No matter what location I choose, the portal shows the local replica.
When on the offline location, the local mail DB replicates and all is well, but when on the online location, the local DB of course doesn’t replicate (since it is supposed to be online and showing the servers mail DB).
I have tried creating a new online location. That doesn’t fix it.
I have tried replacing the design of bookmark.nsf and pernames.nsf. Doesn’t help.
I have also tried deleting bookmark.nsf and have the Notes client create a new one during startup. Doesn’t help either. :o(
So I turn to the Notes braintrust (yes, that’s you) for assistance?
Anybody have any bright ideas?
I’m sure this is one of those “DOH!” moments, but I can’t seem to find anything to slap on my forehead. What am I missing here?
