Strange Designer Problem

Hi,

I created 2 views, which i restricted access to through the properties. I saved the views and previewed in a browser, all was working as expected.

I wanted to change something in one of these views and neither of them are displayed in designer!?! But when I preview the db in a browser they are there!!! I am using the Folder structure to display he views (i.e. “1. All\1. Date Created”)

Does anyone have any ideas as to why its doing this and how i can get these to display?

If you restricted the access of the views, I would assume that you have not right anymore of seeing them…

Give yourself the rights corresponding to the restriction, it may work.

Here comes the silly question…

How do i change the access if i cant see the view?

There should be some Administrator ID for your server other than the normal user (OK… if your ID is administrator Id then there is nothing to do).

One more thing is to have a look at “Full Access Administrators” option in Server document under Security Tab of current server.

Anyone listed in Full Access Administrators have full access to all the databases on the server.
