Stopping the Com Port

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to stop a Com Port from a dos prompt?

I have a server that only has one modem, this is used to replicate the Domino Databases to our HO.

I would also like to use the modem to do virus definition updates. The problem is how do I stop the com port in Domino and then get Symantec LiveUpdate to dial up the internet.

something like this may help on win32

E:>cd lotus\domino

E:\Lotus\Domino>nserver -c “stop port COM1”

the output on domino console:

stop port COM1
