Still impossible to upload files to Community folders in Connections v6.5

For a long time I'll been waiting for the possibility to upload files om mobiles. I still dies not work on Android 10 and iPAD.

When?? In v7?

I think this won't get better in v7. There are a lot of similar issues, that don't work (well) for mobile users. E.g. uploading new file versions, adding images to forum posts, etc.

The mobile app imho is good for browsing and reading content, but not for actively working on content. There really is much room for improvement.

It is realy sad that HCL does not fix this lack of funktionality, since the forkus on mobile apps is so in focus. Customers who implement Connections 7, would be very disappointed, when they realy discovers the lack. They of us using both Lotus Live/Quickr and eary versions of CNX, is a bit «fed up», waiting for «next version».

Under the assumption that the primary concern in this thread is a match for the ER in the Ideas portal mentioned by Sylvia, we brought this thread to Offering Management's attention and their feedback is:

Correct in that we did not implement this change in Connections 7. Please disregard the "Need more info" status (in the Ideas portal) as the issue is clear. Files that are uploaded go to "My Files" only. A user could then share the file with the Community as a work around for now. I agree that this is not intuitive and therefore we set the status of the idea to "Future Consideration" as part of the UX Redesign we plan for 2021.

I understand that this doesn't help for 6.5/7.0, but I hope it helps to set expectations.

Thanks Brett,

This case has been discussed several times with support, last two years.
I just uploaded a file to a community in preview v7, from my Android phone. But I could not choose a folder to put it into.
Looking forward to see "the Enterprise " version. Perhaps update CNX server to v7, as a Christmas gift :blush:
