Stationary vs. Signature graphic

I’ve created a stationary that includes a small image file (company logo, address, phone, email address, etc…). When I send the stationary to an internet address, the image file does not carry through with the email. For the second test,( not using stationary - only creating a new memo within the mail database), I chose the option to include a signature at the bottom of outgoing mail messages, using the same image file for the signature, sent another test email. This time, the logo was included with the email. So my findings are, with stationary, the image was not included in the email, with the signature choice, the same logo was included. Can anyone tell me why I am having this issue with stationary? I prefer to use the stationary choice, thus it allows me to choose when I want to include my logo rather than the siganture choice that appends the image file to every email, unless of course I delete the image. Not sure why you are having the problem, but one thing I can say is that you don’t have to append the signature to every message. You can add it at your discretion by using the Tools…Insert Signature button

Alan, Your right, I can remove the option to append signature to every message, but are you saying regardless if it’s stationary with an image, it should keep the image on the email just the same as the signature image did, right?? Is it possible there is a setting within Lotus that is removing these images from the stationary once it is mailed?

Thanks for your response!

I have tested both ways, using a pasted image and an imported image for stationery and they both come through as embedded images over the web, so I’m not sure why you are having this problem :frowning:

Alan, I’ve done more testing, this is what I’ve found - but don’t understand why??

When I create stationary, the initial setup screen displays three brackets, the header brackets, the red body brackets, and the bottom footer brackets. I was putting my image in the header section of the template, but once I moved it down in the red brackets - the body section, then my image carries through. Any text or graphics that I insert between the header & footer brackets does not carry through on the email.

Thanks for you replies to my post with this issue!

Lotus Domino Designer 6.5.1 Help - Selected form properties

To display a graphic in a header

To display a graphic in a header, add a background graphic to the form. This becomes the background for the header only. Note that if you do this, the remainder of the form is blank and cannot display another background graphic.
