Starting with Eclipse "sidebar" development. Where is "com.ibm.rcp.j2se.win32."?

Hi,

at first i am a Notes developer with not much experience with Java and Eclipse. However i wanted to dive into the development of sidebar-plugins for the Notes Client with Eclipse.

I am trying to follow this manual “Extending the IBM Lotus Notes V8 sidebar and toolbar”

  1. I have Lotus Notes 8.5.1 installed

  2. I installed “Eclipse for RCP/Plug-in Developers”

  3. I have set up the “Target Platform” in eclipse

  4. The next step describes how to add the notes JRE to ecplise. I should enter the target path to “C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\notes\framework\rcp\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.rcp.j2se.win32.” for the JRE Home Directory."

But such a file does not exist ?

There is not even any file containing “j2se” ?

So what should i use ?

Maybe the main JVM of Notes “C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\jvm” ?

I guess that this manual is for Lotus notes 8.0.

Does anyone have a description for 8.5.1 ?

Thanks for any help.

Bye

Lars

Someone has posted a comment a few days ago with a link to details for Notes 8.5 and Notes 8.5.1. In short, yes use the jvm folder under \Lotus\Notes
