SSO does not work for /social correct?

Hello everyone,

today a user found this issue and I want to know if it is working as designed or if we did something wrong in the configuration:

Currently, we have HCL Connections 6.5 CR1 with CP.

We have enabled Single Sign-on in the WebSphere Environment and it is working fine. So when a user hits connections.com/homepage the SSO process happens and the user is logged in successfully.

Now a user switched to the new OrientMe homepage and changed his bookmark to connections.com/social/home. (just hit "Bookmark this page" after switching to the new homepage)

When the user now opens this bookmark unauthenticated, the /social link does a redirect to /homepage/login showing the login form and no SSO happens - Which I would expect as it is the login form that should only be shown when SSO does not work.

What is your experience?

Thanks

Hi,

is which Browser is the issue? I can“t reproduce in my environment in Edge or Chrome.

I can only reproduce in Firefox.

Best Regards

Max

We are using Edge and Chrome.

In the debug tools I see redirects in this order:

  1. /social
  2. /social/
  3. /homepage/login
  4. /homepage/login/

And the page 4 is the login form.

When I open a new browser window and open /homepage/login the login form shows and no Single Sign-On happens

What is in your instance?

Sorry, i can reproduce in Edge and Chrome. I start my Browser new and the same issue.

First /social than redirect to /homepage/login and Login Mask.

I can reproduce this in v7, too. No SSO happening, if directly calling /social.
