Need assistance in setting up SSL for IMAP and HTTP.
Is SSL setup through Certificate Request Database or Server Admin Certificate Database.
I did setup by creating Certificate Requests database and enabled SSL on HTTP and IMAP, but when I enter the FQDN, it is giving certificate error, certificate is not trusted.
On Mozilla I get a secure pad lock , but on Internet explorer the secure pad lock icon is not present, does it mean that the SSL is not working good, but I’m able to access db from HTTP.
Please help me with the exact process
Do I have to buy SSL trusted root certificates from Verisign.
Subject: SSL
Now you should have a self signed certificate installed in your server.
That means that SSL encryption should work, but no browser will trust your server.
To get rid of the Security Warnings buy a certificate from Verisign or some other Certificate Authority and install their trusted root certificate in your keyring.
Have a look at for informations about wildcard certificates:

I did some documentation and a checklist on how to do this at my company blog.
Maybe that could help you out, here is the link:

the bottom of this technote discusses how you can install the cert in your browser to avoid these warnings
alternatively you can set up the browser to ignore the secure warning all together
