SSL and Redirection problem

We have just upgraded from 5.0.13a to 6.5.3 FP1. (still on R5 template with R6 (43) ODS)

Single Server Authentication is in place and working.

This is on a WebMail server which is accessed by the users as either:-

webmail.co.uk

or

Historically there used to be 2 sites, now they are connecting to the same server and have been for over 9 months.

Since the upgrade the SSL Certificate is giving Security Alert error messages on the browser to say:-

  1. The Certificate is from a Trustyed authority.

  2. The Certificate date is valid.

  3. The name is invalid **

The Certificate has been issued in the name of the server server.OU.co.uk and has been redirecting happily to https://server.OU.co.uk for the past 4+ years.

Clicking Yes, the redirection works fine.

The certificate seems to be in good order as I can connect without the security alert with http://server.OU.co.uk and I get redirected as expected.

I have tried creating Redirection Documents, both URL > URL and URL> Redirection give the same error.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
