The “send copy to” mail rule problems that plagued 6.0.x appear to have been improved in 6.5, although there is still one situation that doesn’t work:
Rule: IF Subject contains [criteria] THEN move to folder [folder] AND send copy to [recipient1,recipient2,recipient3,…]
Result: Message gets moved to correct folder, but forwarding fails. “Message contains no recipients” error appears on server.
If the actions are split into two rules, the same result occurs. Has anyone else seen this? I realize this is a very specific thing to complain about, but lucky me, this just happens to be a rule that a lot of our users need. Thanks in advance.
Yes, this is happening to us, and it’s caused quite a bit of problems because it doesn’t work. IBM needs to address this… I have an open PMR on this, and it still has not been addressed. I sent the email file (to IBM), created a separate instance of the mail file, recreated the rules, and still nothing is working properly. It’s a very serious problem I’d say. The way the RULES documents are processed seems fairly kluge as it is… quite disturbing.
