Space or Separator Between Bookmark Icons in Left Column?

I know this will be a simple answer so my apolgies in advance…lol.

For the life of me, I cannot find, in the help or on this forum, the instructions on how to create a space between the bookmark icons that are located on the very left of the Notes client. A user said he had done it in the past but has forgotten.

Anyone know how to do this?

The bookmark icons are part of an outline called “UserBookmarkOrder” in bookmark.nsf. The space is simply a blank entry in that outline.

Okay I see that.

But is there anyway for a typical end-user who doesn’t have access to Designer to be able to add the blank entry / edit the outline?

Not really. However, to get the effect they can create a new folder on the bookmark bar and call it " " (i.e. the folder name is a text string of one space character). Then change the icon to “Link - Empty”.

Bit messy, but it sort of works.
