Someone else's calendar entries showing up on Blackberry -- but not always in Notes!

Okay, this is a weird one. We have a VP who has been seeing calendar entries on his Blackberry (and sometimes, but not always, in Notes) that neither he nor his Admin created or accepted. They have nothing to do with him, although they are definitely from someone in our company (a sales meeting that was here, but he wasn’t attending, for instance). He’s seen about 5 entries, two of which also showed up in Notes. In Notes, they appear to have been created by him, but he swears he knows nothing about them.

This VP is in IT and a pretty savvy user. He’s not about to, for instance, create a reminder for a PTO day and haircut when he isn’t getting either of them, or block time for a sales meeting he isn’t attending.

Has anyone EVER heard of calendar entries getting “crossed” like this? I have no way of figuring out who the other person may be or even if it’s more than one. I’ve got over 6000 users and over 300 on Blackberries.

As always, thanks in advance!

Hrrm, someone else accepting calender entries for him?

I have seen (once) where a blackberry was causing crazy problems with someone’s calender because the state DB got corrupt and the BES was creating all these odd entries in his notes calender because of it.

Bill, thank you. I don’t think someone is accepting calendar entries for him; we know who that would be and she wouldn’t set a PTO day (execs don’t think in terms of “PTO days,” at least not here) and a haircut he didn’t need. It seems to be crossing up with someone else’s calendar, but darned if I know how or why.

I’ll pass your comment about the state DB to the Blackberry admins and we’ll see if that helps. It’s odd because it’s not a lot of entries – four or five over an entire month for a busy exec and there don’t seem to be I’ll let you know if/when we resolve the issue. Thanks.
