Hi,
In my database, the “allow soft deletions” option is enabled in the properties tab. However when I try to create a new view and select view type “Shared, contains deleted documents view”, that option is not available.
Could there be a reason as to why I don’t see this view type? Am I missing something?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,“Allow soft deletions” will keep the deleted docs in Trash view for the specific period of time, before they are deleted permanently.
So, why you create another new view to see the deleted document?

Hi,
My database is not a ‘mail’ database. It is an application I’ve created for a user so I don’t have a trash view. I need to capture all the documents that are deleted as we have been having a problem with documents disappearing from the database. I read on the “HELP” section that I’d have to create a ‘shared view containing deleted documents’ to capture all the “soft deletions”. But as I mentioned before, I don’t see that option??? : )

oh, sorry about that. I did not know if it is not a mail database.Well, I am not good in developer side.
How about this:
open your mailbox using designer. From there, you can get the code for view for soft deletion documents.
there are $deletion, $trash, miniview-trash2…

Ivan.
