The problem is that some “good” domains which commonly communicate with my client, are no longer getting in… outbound for them is working… inbound from them just looks as “host connected” then “host disconnected” [0] messages received.
The DNSBL’s is enabled, and they don’t seem to be listed (other sites reflect that error on log, or rejected for policy reasons applying).
Also, many connections showing on stmp task as “providing service for”.
I’ve read a lot of stuff for these, but nothing seems to help on receiving some good domains.

Have you rec’d any help on this? We are having the same problem. What’s weird is it seems that if we go to our DNS server and go to the companies website, we will then be able to eventually receive mail. It is delayed a day or so, but it works. We are also running WIN2K and R6.5

Have you resolved this issue yet? I thought ours was fixed, but we are having problems again. I opened a ticket with support and was told that is was not a notes issue, but more likely a network issue. Makes no sense to me why then some companies can connect and others cannot. Can anyone out there help with this?

So we changed out to a new server this weekend in the hope that would solve the issue with not receiving emails from certain companies. One company mentioned the responses she was getting when trying to connect had something to do with NETBIOS.
So we disabled the NETBIOS setting for TCPIP on both the dmz and server ip’s. Then had 3 differenct companies test sending and we rec’d every email.
