We have multiple servers routing external emails via a single SMTP server using a Foreign SMTP Domain document (domain TheInternet) and a connection document on the SMTP server to the “TheInternet” domain, they all have “SMTP used when sending messages outside of the local internet domain:” disabled - all works well. But now we have another server in a site elsewhere in the world although part of the same Notes domain. This server we want to route external email directly as it has an Internet connection so we set the “SMTP used when sending messages outside of the local internet domain:” to Enabled but whenever email is sent outside it’s routed via the SMTP server here instead of just routing out directly to the Internet. Any ideas on why it’s not just sending out?

… The Foreign SMTP docs etc were used for R4. You don’t need them anymore. All you need is one domain document stating the domain you’re running and a configuration document with details about ingoing and outgoing routing.
