Hi,
I want to sign an e-mail using my x509v3 certificate and Lotus Notes. My certificate and private key are into my smart card, i can sign an e-mail with outlook, outlook express and Thunderbird using smart card , with Notes i can sign an e-mail only if i import “pfx/p12” file into Notes ( User Security/Your Identity/Your Certificate/Import Internet Certificate ).
I don’t Know If I do something into User Security/Your Smart Card because I wan’t login in Notes with my smart card, only sign an e-mail. I selecct “dll” ( pkcs#11 ) file named “PkcsV2gk.dll” located into C:\Windows\System , Notes accept this file, after if I press “Enable Smart Card Login” , Notes give me an error " Notes has not detected your smart card" …
Sorry for my english…
Thanks

Subject: Smart Card , how to sign?
First off, in recent versions of Notes you don’t need to smartcard-enable the ID file in order to “import” the X.509 cert off the smartcard and configure Notes to use the private key on the card for private key operations involving that certificate. Select your PKCS#11 DLL, then go to the “Your Certificates” pane of the User Security Dialog, press the “Get Certificates” button, and select the “Import Internet Certificates from a Smartcard” action.
If that doesn’t solve your problem, please set DEBUG_PKCS11=3 and DEBUG_LOG= in your notes.ini and post the resulting log here.

Subject: RE: Smart Card , how to sign?
Thanks,
I think I’ve resolved the problem, I’ve changed my smart card reader, I’ve installled it and Notes has detetected my smart card, the option " import internet certificates from a smart card" wasn’t greyed out.
I have two smart card readers:
Notes detect my smart card only with C3PO smart card reader.
Thank you
Marcelo
