Recently we upgraded to Domino 7.0.2 (FP3) from 6.5.3, also changed the server to higher capacity xeon core2 & 4GB RAM. We are using Windows 2003 R2 x64. But the response is quite slow in compare to our previous setup (windows 2003 SP2 -32bit - 2GB RAM) - it’s taking long time to open. Please help if anyone have any solution…

I don’t know if it is causing your problems, but you aren’t likely to get a benefit from running a 4GB machine w/ Windows x64 instead of x32, especially when running 32bit software.
Now, if you have 6GB+ then, it might be a different story.
Also, probably next to RAM, the biggest impact I’ve seen on Domino performance is Disk (this is supported by all the reports on Notesbench.org if you ask me) - do you have fewer, larger spindles now? that can actually increase the time it takes to index a view, or update a FT index, etc.
