SiteMinder - 500: Server Error [Init]

Hi there,

I have this Domino 9.0.1 server. Its main purpose is to be an internal HTTP server. I want to integrate it to the corporate SSO infrastructure using SiteMinder web agent.

As far as I can tell, everything was done correctly on the SiteMinder Policy Server side (not my job)

All I have to do now is to properly set up the SiteMinder web agent on my Domino server.

So far, the best I can get out of it is

500: Server Error [Init]

Error: The Web Server did not initialize properly.

Please contact your webmaster.

Web Agent Version = 6QMR5, Build = 852, Update = 0

The SmHost.conf and WebAgent.conf seem to be OK

On Domino start up I have this line in the log : " HTTP Server: DSAPI DominoWA Loaded successfully" , which sounds good

There is nothing in the domlog.nsf, which seems to indicate that the request does not even reach Domino but is intead intercepted by SiteMinde (which is somehow a good start : it means that SiteMinde is active :wink:

There is nothing either in the SiteMinder log.

So here are a couple of questions, but any input is appreciated.

  • is SiteMinder version 6QMR5 suitable for Domino 9 or should I seek a newer version ?

  • is there any piece of tricky config that I may have missed ?

  • has anyone had any luck with Domino9/SiteMinder ?

  • ???

I have exactly the same error and symptoms, has your problem been solved? If so, how do you get around it?
