Single Sign on and XP Group Policy

Hi,

We’re running Notes 6.5 on XP clients which are locked down using group policy. These lock downs include restricting access to the users C: drive.

I’ve tested out single sign on with one of the support peoples laptops, which aren’t locked down as much as a user, and they can sync their passwords fine. It works with either ctrl-alt-del to change the password or making the password expire and changing it at logon. The user when they try either method it doesn’t work.

What access could be restricting this from working?

What are the settings for the failing clients? What type of install install are they (single or multi-user)? Where does the application directory live? Where does the user data directory live?

During an OS password change the Notes network provider has to access the notes.ini and initialize a Notes API session in order to change the password on the ID. Unfortunately since you are running 6.5.3, you won’t be able to turn on and debug logging of the functionality to see where the failure is.
