When creating a signature in Verse, the font and size are not applied to an blank line. It is automatically changed to a different value. For example, the whole signature is Times New Roman, 10 pt, but the blank line becomes Sans-Serif (and it is not in the drop-down list), 12 pt in the new mail.
Based on my testing in Verse 3.2.4, this appears to be working as designed. In the Verse settings, even if you set a font style and size on a blank line and save it, Verse doesn’t actually save the formatting. That is why, when you compose an email, the signature defaults to a standard font.
The blank line in your Verse signature reverting to “Sans-Serif, 12 pt” is seems to be related to the rich text editor’s handling of empty paragraph elements and default styling. A Verse CSS extension can be implemented by your Domino administrator is likely the most robust solution. Otherwise, users might need to tolerate the slight font mismatch on blank lines or minimize their use.
Hello
Unfortunately, it seems that styles are not applied to blank lines.
I suggest a workaround. For example, how about adding a dummy character like ‘a’ to blank lines in the signature?
Although you’ll have to delete the character each time, it seems the style will be preserved.
Thank you for your reply and suggesting a solution to the problem.
But if we apply it, we will face the fact that we will make a single signature format, although users use different fonts and sizes. So we will solve one user’s problem, but it will appear for another user.
It turns out that Verse is the problem in this case.
