Notes forgets the opened widgets and their order at about every restart. Right now it has opened some widgets which I had Minimized to Icon before, moved the Day-At-A-Glance widged to the bottom, opened another one two times, and forgot the content of one widget:
Subject: some answers…
The position of the widget sidebar panels is not a fixed position so the order is not guaranteed to be the same on every launch, but there is a known issue with restoring the state of these dynamic shelf views (minimized/collapsed, etc) after a restart JTHN7FFJM4.
The issue with having 2 instances of a view may be due to having opened it directly from My Widgets panel. If a component has the property “Contribute to sidebar on startup” checked, and then you also select the component in the My Widgets panel and select ‘Open in - Sidebar panel’, that will open a new view instance for that component. If it is open on Notes shutdown, it will also be restored in the sidebar when Notes is restarted.
I’m not able to reproduce the problem with the Notes views not restoring in the sidebar panel, other than it sometimes may take a bit for the view to draw, but it does refresh once the db finishes opening. Can you provide some information on what database you are using and how you set up the widget? If you could provide the actual widget(s) that are causing the problem that would be very helpful as well. They can be found at:
C:\Notes_dir\data\workspace.metadata.plugins\com.ibm.rcp.toolbox directory
and
C:\Notes_dir\data\workspace.metadata.plugins\com.ibm.rcp.dynamic.extensions directory
(please zip up both directories and attach if possible).
thanks for you feedback.

Subject: It’s hard to reproduce
Looks like it is mostly happening on the first start in the morning. Can’t reproduce right now by restarting (sounds weird, I know).
I had created views and framesets for the narrow display in the sidebar and configured the new widget based on these framesets. Here are the XML files from those directories:
I’m talking about “Telefonliste” and “Helpdesk: Eingangsmails”.
Do you need the cache directory also? May there be confidential stuff inside?
