Notes on the mac hung on me, as it does from time to time. When I went to activity monitor to see what was going on I observed that the shared memory size of the Notes Process was 16,777,216 TB (sic)
I am impressed, as my mac does not have this memory. It is also doubtful as to whether there is a computer on this planet with this amount of memory.
Subject: Could you please provide a sample log when Notes hangs again? Thank you!
Could you please provide a sample log here when Notes hangs again for you? To provide it, you can open Activity Monitor, select Notes process, click Sample Process button, and then save and attach the log here. Thank you!
We have a known issue on large virtual memory used, but id is JLLU7DY472. But Notes is a 32-bit application, it can’t use virtual memory more than 4G. It is impossible for Notes to use more than 1 Tb virtual memory. It is highly possible a bug of Apple activity monitor.
