Shared Mail w/ Local Replicas

How does shared mail behave if a user is working from a local replica on their laptop?

That is, if a user replicates their mail, gets on a plane, and then attempts to view a message in that is a shared mail message? I looked around briefly and couldn’t find anything specific to this…

One other thing, I assume shared mail only works for messages originating from a Notes user, and not from incoming SMTP messages with multiple local recipients?

Thanks,

Subject: as I understand it…

…a local user gets a full replica of all his/hers mail on local. That would mean the local replica holds all content the shared mailfile does. That should go for Notes and SMTP mail messages.

We’re testing with it now, if I have any more information I’ll post it here.
