Setting up extended directory catalog

Hi,can any one guide me how to configure extended directory catalog.

  1. I created a db named extendedcatalog using PUBNAMES.NTF

2.Created the Extended Directory Catalog configuration document and run the Dircat task:

  1. created Directory assistance database

  2. Created a Directory Assistance document for a Domino Directory or Extended Directory Catalog

Restart the server

Now i haven,t seen any additional directory when i goes to select addresses.

Now my question is , is there any her steps for completing the extended directory catalog?

Subject: did you setup directory assistance properly

to complete setting up directory assistance you need to add the file name to your server documents. there’s a field on the basics tab under Directory Information. After it’s all setup properly you should be able to see the directory by going to your admin console and typing “show xdir” and something like this should appear

show xdir

DomainName DirectoryType ClientProtocol Replica/LDAP Server

1 ACMECO Primary-Notes Notes & LDAP names.nsf

2 EXTADDR Secondary-Notes Notes HUB05/ACMECO!!nab\global-edc.nsf

Directory Assistance Database ‘dirasst.nsf’ in use
