Setting up addtional server

I’m attempting to add an additional server within or Domino domain. I’ve registered the new server (certification process) in the domino directory and made sure it’s within the ACL.

When I attempt to add the server through the setup on the other server, it tells me that I am not authorized to use the server.

So I’ve registered the server, added it to the ACL of the names.nsf, and it has created a server document for the server, yet I’m still getting the error.

Is there anything I’m overlooking. I’ve tried to find a step by step process, and what I’ve found I’ve followed.

Anyone have any suggestion at all as to what my next step should be?

Domino 6.5 on NT, additional server to be added is Windows 2003. I’ve also tried it on a 2000 Workstation.

The new id has to have access to use the server not just the databases on that server.

If the new additional server can not access the server then the process will stop. This access has to be exist before the ACL of a database would kick in.

You may be getting an access denied message as well on the first server.

The suggests put me on the right path eventually. As it turns out the error was caused by the Domain under the server document being all in capital letters, I changed it to the proper case and it worked.
