Set document field value on button click for selected documents in a view

Hi All,

I have a web based application. I have a view which is displayed through the $$ViewTemplateDefault. In the view, I have a column which displays a checkbox which the user can use to select a few documents. The checkbox is named “ChkBox” and the value for each is the DocumentUniqueId.

My requirement is to set a field value to “No” for all the documents that have been selected in the view. I wish to do this using a button on my $$ViewTemplateDefault form.

I am not sure how this can be done, or whether it can even be done through web. Can anyone let me know how I can achieve this? Any suggestions, guidance or help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Thank you,

Nikita D.

If you can imagine the question, it’s probably been asked before.

Start here:

Also - there’s a nice FAQ for web design (FAQ link shows up when you post initially).
