Server to server replication - not replicating

We have two Lotus Domino servers and we want to replicate databases between the two servers.

One server, DominoNotes, is for use inside the company. This server has the Domino Domain of “ABC_Notes”.

One server, DominoWeb, is used for hosting websites for the company. This server has the Domino Domain of “ABC_Web”

Both servers were registered with the same Certifier (“ABC_Notes”).

Both servers refuse to replicate with each other, with the following messages appearing on the calling server (DominoNotes):

===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====

Server DominoWeb/ABC_Notes reported the following problem causing authentication to fail: Your public key was not found in the Domino Directory

Error connecting to server DominoWeb/ABC_Notes: Server error: Your public key was not found in the Domino Directory

Unable to replicate with server dominoweb: Your public key was not found in the Domino Directory on remote server

===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====

What do I have to do in order to resolve this?

TIA,

Richard.

How did you install those servers? There is something odd about it. Replication should work out of the box.

Do both names have the two server documents?

No, they don’t have a server document for the other server. Is this necessary?

NB: We want both servers to have separate Domino Domains.

I see, I kind of didnt understand at first.

I am not sure how did you use the same certifier to create both servers and they are in different domains.

As far as I know, to replicate between servers, you need to have the public key of the other one.

Take a look at cross-certification but I can almost tell you that you will need both servers to have each others server documents.
