Server Probes: non domino?

Is is possible in ND6.5 to enable server probes in events4.nsf to probe other types of servers? I have a non Domino SMTP server I was thinking of trying to monitor with this tool.

I’m not convinced it is possible (although I have to admit I’m not 100% sure), however you might want to check out a tool by http://www.ipswitch.com called WhatsUp Gold - it might provide what you are looking for (although not using the Domino administrator) - we use it here to monitor a large number of servers and has proved extremely useful.

I don’t know if DDM works against non-domino SMTP, but the old TCP Probes in events4.nsf can check non-Domino SMTP.Rich
