Server name in Notes:/// URL

I’ve tried to find out the syntax of Notes:/// if I want the link to look for homeserver of the Lotus Notes client.We want to send a mail with a link that open a Notes database on the server the users are connected to. On the servers the users are connected to, the DBs are not replicas and it could be 30-40 sites with different servernames.

The mail is not in Notes/Domino mailformat when it is received because of several different SMTP gateways, and some outlook clients.

you can’t make it dynamic. you’d either need to code however you’re sending the link to lookup the recipient’s server info in the domino dorectory and build the link for each user before sending it or you could replace the server and file name with the replica ID of the database. If the database is on the user’s workspace or bookmarked it should open the link, otherwise the user will get the “servers to search” dialog.
