Need a little help with Server.Load vs an 8.5.2 server on Windows 2008 64 bit.
There’s iNotes workloads and there’s Webmail workloads in Server.Load. Which one is most appropriate for Domino 8.5x when measuring web user workload impact?
Do the mailfiles need to be generated using the webmail or inotes initialization tasks, or is the R8mail one good enough (since there is only one mail template now)? We have existing mailfiles from load testing simulated Notes client workload.
We tried running the iNotes and Webmail workloads and either got errors about unrecognized URL commands on the console, or it would appear to run without errors but the simulated clients would never actually send mail even though the script monitor log showed them sending it.
There were also issues with Windows 7 Server.Load clients not being able to write to the workload logs properly; we had to switch to XP machines for it to work correctly.
I’ve read that the NotesBench Consortium has R85 iNotes workloads, though they say they’re only available to members, and www.Notesbench.org website appears to only be available in Japanese.
