We’ve been having some performance issues on our web server recently. We have a couple of large databases (4 and 5 gig) but the indexer seems to be handling it ok. The cpu usually runs at about 40%.
Anyway, the server was pretty much unresponsive to web traffic this morning so we decided to reboot it. As it was shutting down I saw a ton of messages that looked like this:
04/02/2008 10:35:50 AM HTTP Server: Waiting for session to finish: Session State [Processing Request] Session ID [102184] Thread ID [2632 (0xa48)] GET /db.nsf/TSByCon?SearchView&SearchOrder=4&Query=bowman HTTP/1.1
the ID and the query were different but otherwise everything else was the same, including the db. Any thoughts on what this could be? I saw about 5 minutes of these message on shutdown before manually killing the task. It is up and running now without issue.
