Server deletes documents

I am getting the following entries in the log.nsf:

07/07/2005 02:25:30 PM AMgr: Error opening document in ‘Tracking.nsf’, Note ID ‘398’, after receiving agent document update message: Document has been deleted

07/07/2005 02:28:30 PM AMgr: Error opening document in ‘Tracking.nsf’, Note ID ‘418’, after receiving agent document update message: Document has been deleted

07/07/2005 02:29:30 PM AMgr: Error opening document in ‘Tracking.nsf’, Note ID ‘298’, after receiving agent document update message: Document has been deleted

etc…

What should be done to stop the server from deleting documents?

Not sure, but it sounds like you have document save conflicts. Check the form design and make sure that conflict handling is set to merge conflict or merge/no conflicts. If it is set to ‘Do not create conflict’ then doc updates on an open doc will be lost.Another way to prevent this may be to enable document locking for the database.

Those messages do not imply that the server is deleting anything. What it does show, is that the code is trying to open a NoteID that no longer exists.

we actually had situations when documents were deleted by the server

so far we desabled the “FIXUP” program running overnight on the server. looks like it checks the docs and found it corrupted and deleted it.
