Group, We have upgraded our server and clients to 8.0.2, and all seems to be good except for the individual who is using a blackberry to connect to Lotus. Since the blackberry will not connect, this individual would like to go back to our previous version of 6.5, but is that possible to revert a client to 6.5 when the server is now at 8.0.2?
(Although, searching the problem on this forum, it looks that there should be an upgrade to the blackberry that will allow her to connect to the 8.0.2 version.)
Everyone, I did not realize we could do a 6.5 client with the 8.0.2 server, although it seems that the better choice is to upgrade the blackberry. Many thanks for all the responses!
Yes, you can revert a client back to 6.5 from 8.x. I would suggest, however, that you uninstall 8.x, then move all files out of notes\data, and then reinstall 6.5 client and reconfigure it for the user.
Blackberry does work with 8.x, though you may need to use a later version to get it to work OK. i run Blackberry softare version 4.7 with Notes 7.0.3 and 8.0.2 with no problem, and would recommend that in preference to downgrading a notes client.
