Sending internet mails out via relay host

I have setup a new domino domain and tried to setup the external malis routed thru our smtp mail servers. However I am running into the following error when I try to send a email out to the internet, for example, yahoo.com

Router: No route found to domain yahoo.com Check Server, Connection and Domain documents in Domino Directory.

Here are my settigs:

  1. Server Routing Task in Server Doc

Mail Routing, SMTP Mail Routing

  1. Configuration Doc for the server
  • SMTP used when sending messages outside local internet domain - Enabled

  • Relay host for leaving the local internet domain - smtp.mycompany.com

  1. Global Domain Doc with all the local domain aliases added

  2. Logged on my server and used nslookup to check yahoo.com OK

There are no foreign SMTP domain and smtp connection documents.

Please shed some light.

Thanks

Subject: sending internet mails out via relay host

Hve u checked the mail trace with test mail & able to trace from where the mail is bouncing back? Is the relay host is having MX record in the public DNS, is ur DNS is configured with forwards?

I ended up deleting all my configuration docs and recreating them.

Then everything is working now.

BTW, you don’t need the smtp routing task in the server doc.
