I can’t seem to get Word to use Lotus Notes mail when I click the Send to > Mail recipient option. I’ve found various tech notes that say I need to have the following file: mapivi32.dll, mapivitk.dll and mvthksvr.exe in my c:\winnt\system32 folder, but I don’t know where to get these files. Any help is appreciated.
Subject: “send to” in Word can’t find Notes mail
You have to check this in win reg database
Look under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE ->Clients →
Mail → it has to be (Standard) = Lotus Notes
Under Mail-> Lotus Notes
You have this
(Standard) = Lotus Notes
DLLPath = path to nmailman.dll (under notes folder)
Also look under Shell->Open->Command:
(Standard) = path to \notes.exe MAIL
Subject: RE: “send to” in Word can’t find Notes mail
I have the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE ->Clients →
Mail → : REG_SZ:Lotus Notes
Is that the same thing?
The others are the same.
Subject: It’s working!
We figured it out. I’m not sure which file fixed it, but we put the following files in my c:\winnt\system32 folder:
mapisvc.inf
mapi32.dll
mapisrvr.exe
mapistub.dll
mapi.dll
Thanks to those who offered suggestions!
Subject: user preference enabled?
This may be a stupid question, but have you enabled the appropriate user preference? If you install Office first, and Notes after that, the Notes client will have an option ‘enable MS office 97 send to…’. It’s in the User Preferences - Basic tab - Additional Options. I’ve never had to mess with mapi dll’s to get this working.
Subject: RE: user preference enabled?
Unfortunatly, I have enable this.
I have Lotus Notes as my mail preference in Internet Explorer and it works fine… just not in Word. Word wants me to setup Windows messaging. Can’t figure out what I’m missing.
