Send email on behalf : add new domain or alias

Hi,

 my company1' will integrate another company2 in our Domino Mail server.

 I should create new person of the company 2 in names.nsf. So they could receive and send email with their new email adress : toto@company1.com

But, I must give them the possibility to send email with their old email adress : toto@company2.com

 Should I create a new domain Company 2 ? or use alias field ? or use another possibility like send on behalf ...

All of this should be done without coding. But with the administration Client.

Don’t you want to get rid of the old addres after a while.What we did was add/register the persons in the NAB and put their old address as an alias in the shortname field.

That means that all send emails are going out with the new address.

thank you for your response.

I made modification in ShortName. But Not work. Maybe I should wait simply the replication. So I will give you my answer later.

But, I made another Edit and modify the internet adress field in The Site document and it works.

What is the difference between the two methods ?
