Search Query Relational Operators Problem

We have an application that needs to search data between two days, like between 02/01/2005 and 07/02/2005, the query looks like this: "(FIELD Open_Date >= " + Open_Date + ") AND " + “(FIELD End_Date <=” + End_Date + ")

but in the query, it does not support relational operator (>+, <=) according to Designer Help document.

I’m wondering if you know the right way to do the search.

Thanks a lot,

Mike

Relational operators are supported for date and number fields, e.g. as described here. Where exactly did you see something in the documentation to make you think otherwise? Tell me and if I agree it could be interpreted that way, I’ll put in to have it corrected.

Thank you very much for your response, Andre.

I just see teh following infromation:

For folling operators:

= (equal)

< (less than)

(greater than)

<= (less than or equal)

= (greater than or equal)

These help you search for numbers or dates in numeric or date fields only.

Example: ‘FIELD date1<12/25/98’ finds documents whose ‘date1’ field contains any date before 12/25/98.

But in the column of “Does it work searching a view or domain from the Web?”, the answer is “No”.

Our customer will do the search from web not from Notes client.

Thanks,

Mike
