Search Feature on this Forum Does Not Function

I’ve referred to this forum for some time, but after I recently started using a new pc, I found that the search feature on the Search tab of this forum does not function as it should. For example, if I enter the words “MIME” and “attachment” and select the search option “All words”, the results lists the current documents rather than only those containing “MIME” and “attachment”. It’s as if the search never ran.

I have another pc on which the search function does function as it should under the same scenario. (The search on "MIME and “attachment” returned 375 documents.)

The only apparent signficant difference between the two pc’s is that the pc on which the search functions correctly has IE V7.0 while the pc on which the search does not function correctly has IE V6.0.

Is there any other reason why the search functions correctly on one pc, but not the other?

Yes – IE6 is the reason. It’s a known problem and they’re working on it (though I can’t for the life of me understand why – it’s like voluntarily supporting Netscape 4.x in 2001).
