Our Notes 9.0.1 FP4 clients that run Windows 7 2 CPU 4GB RAM with a custom DPI of 125% at 1920x1280 with aero turned on but without all the eye candy preferences are experiencing graphic artifacts and client crashes after a few hours of use. Other users without custom DPI are not affected. I see in the release notes for FP4 that some work was done in this area “RCFE9K5TRJ (LO80436) - Fixes Notes Client scaling issues with high screen resolutions.” Maybe this work introduced some new bug?
How can we go about gathering more info to diagnose what is happening? I read that on a per program basis, you can disable dpi scaling on the compatibility tab of the executable but which would we do this to? nlnotes.exe, java.exe javaw.exe notes2.exe notes.exe, eclipse.exe? What about somehow passing -Dsun.java2d.dpiaware=false, where would we even specify that? Help please!
We are using 1024 as the high and 512 as the low for JVM memory as mentioned in this article http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21617708 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21617708
Here is one small example of the icons for sametime and calendar where they have turned black.
