SchedMgr: Error switching cluster busy time database

We have a server that is part of a cluster - every now and then I’m finding that the schedule manager will just turn itself off with no warbing what so ever! After checking out the logs I have found the following error:

SchedMgr: Error switching cluster busy time database: The database is being taken off-line and cannot be opened.

A simple ‘Load Sched’ will bring it back up again, (untill it crashes the next time). Anyone out there experienced this problem or/and know how to fix it.

Cheers,

Gav

Subject: Sounds like clustering problem really

The SchedMgr does periodic checks to make sure the cluster status of the server it runs on has not changed. That change could be in or out of a cluster OR changing clusters. Ignoring the details of how for now, the problem is really the one indicated by the last part of that error message:

The database is being taken off-line and cannot be opened.

SchedMgr is trying to check replica IDs of some dBs and its getting a failure doing that; the failure seen above. So something is causing your clustering dBs to become “off-line” and thus choking SchedMgr. Best go look for whats causing the clusteing dBs to become “offline” and start there.
