I’m opening a Notes form with a browser. I want the user to press a button and that form gets saved to the file system (not to the notes database). I don’t care what format it’s saved in. Is this possible?

What do u mean Saving the form to the filesystem. U mean the content as HTML in a file ?
Subject: RE: Saving document from browser
nah not as html but saving the content as .txt or .doc or .pdf etc. Any other form but html. Basically they click the button and the form they filled out in the browser is saved to the C drive (for example) instead of in Notes.

If thats the case, you can build the fiile (txt or doc) when the user clicks the button. In the button u can write the following lotusscript or call an agent(if its web application) which will create a file and save it where u specify.
fileNum% = Freefile()
'Creates the file under ther "C Directory'
Mkdir "C:\"
fileName$ = "Neddy.txt"
Open fileName$ For Output As fileNum%
Print #fileNum%, ALL Field Values 1 by 1
Hope it helps.
