Save in-line image in email

I get people sending email with inline or embedded images. I need to save these images manually to reedit and send back.

If someone send me the image as attached file no problem. But many email users drag and drop and their email client embeds or makes it show up in Notes as an in-line image with the email. so it displays when reading emai.

I cannot find any way short of forwarding the email to my AOL.COM account from my Notes account. I can save the image in AOL.com to my local desktop.

Can not do this in Notes.

I have set my Notes MAC client to display in-line images as file attachment. This feature seems to not work. I sent a test message from AOL to my Notes account and the inline image I dragged into my AOL email as not made an attachment.

I can not offer any help, just want to support your request. I have been missing this too.

This has been a problem for years. The only way I’ve found around it is to open the message via browser and save the imag from there.

I’ve used the workaround of going to user preferences and ticked “show inline MIME messages as attachments” which will make them attachments - much easier to work with.

Does anyone have a"good" Solution to this issue? I have emails with pictures in the body of the emails. Need to copy and save them. They are not attachments. Same email sent to an Outlook client, the email has an attachment, but in Notes its in the body… I have found ways to copy the image over to Word and save it, but this is a long process… This has been an issue for a long time, but cant find a solution. Running 8.5.3 version Help!
