Sametime User Move

Hi All,

We have 2 Sametime server one is running on 8.5.2 and one is running on 9.0.1 along with WAS (SSC and ST Proxy Server).

During weened we have move all old ST users to new ST server via policy (ST & domino) further we have seen below issue we have raised issue with IBM however they are still working.

  • Double connection from the users towards new ST server with same IP however different Port
  • Search option taking long time on Notes \web\stand along client
  • Contact list error message on Notes Client.
  • Could not able to login via browser getting Chat is temporarily unavailable and could not able to connect.
  • Send file and Capture function issue.
  • LDAP Domino Server Performance issue.
    Can anyone quickly suggest what is the issue?

Subject: Suggestion

Why not just make a dns alias of the old server name to point to the new server. no need for policy moves. My guess there is something in hte st config that still points to the old. Whta dod you have in hte person doc for sametime server? If you dont use dns alias that needs to be updated
