Sametime Inotes Issue

Hello All,

  • Installed DB2 Server ""IBM DB2 9.7 Server.
  • Created DB2 DB for Sametime System Console.
  • Installed IBM Sametime System Console 8.5.2.
  • Created New Ldap SametimePerson document in Address book to authenticate LDAP server .
  • Installed Sametime Proxy Server 9.0.
  • Installed & configured Sametime Enterprise domino 32 bit Server on new VM.
  • IBM Sametime Community Server deployment Successfully.
  • Enabled Trust between the Sametime Community Server and Sametime Proxy Server.
  • Created/Configured DB2 Database for Sametime Proxy Server.
  • Run the guided activity to configure the IBM Sametime Proxy Server deployment plan.
  • Installed the IBM Sametime Proxy Server using the predefined deployment plan.

However at the moment we are getting error message while accessing sametime over webmail getting errro message
“Error connecting to Sametime Proxy server.Please contact your administrator”.

Hi Mahesh,

Did you set the url:port of the sametime proxy server on the iNotes server in the server configuration document (iNotes tab) or in a mail setting policy document? This this madatory to advise iNotes how to reach the sametime server.

You are missing a step of configuring the iNotes and Sametime integration.

Someone kindly searched google for you and provided you with the technote link.
