Sametime and Blackberry servers on one machine?

Anyone every try putting both these servers on one machine?

All the machine requirements I’ve found for SameTime reference fairly ancient machines and don’t separate recommendations out depending on how much IM vs. conferencing you’ll use.

I don’t think the BES server uses much CPU…

Yes you can. I have run the Bes 2.2 on a Domino 6.0.3 server with Sametime as well.

Depending on the number of Blackberry users you have, then the server has to be fairly powerful, so be careful.

I know on Bes 4.0 you have to have a minimum of 2Gb RAM + 2.6Ghz P4 processor.

I am running BES 4.0 on a Domino 6.5.4 server running SameTime 6.5.

I’ve had this configuration for a couple weeks with no difficulties.

My server specs are well below the BES minimum specs, but I only have a handful of Blackberry users at this time.
