Hi team!
The company has been using ST 8.0.2 for a long time. Sametime Embedded Notes 8.5.3 is used as a client. Everything worked without problems for more than 15 years.
I decided to try ST 12.0.2FP2. The following problems arose:
1. When the client works via mobile Internet, and it has latency of 500-700 ms, it is impossible to send a message.
0x80000221 - the connection has been broken. But this never happens with ST 8.0.2.
2. Some messages are not received. They are sent to the server and can be found in MongoDB, but are not received by the client. Both clients are Notes 8.5.3 (Windows). All messages are text. With ST 8.0.2, such problems were reported once every 2-3 years. With ST 12.0.2 FP2, the problem occurs every day.
3. Persistent chat. In most cases this works as it should, but there are funny things too. On MacOS Sametime 12.0.2 Standard Client the message (picture) is missing and does not load, on iOS client the message is loaded.
4. ST 12.0.2FP2 is on the same hardware as ST 8.0.2. According to Grafana statistics, CPU is loaded by 5-10%, memory is loaded by 30%.
More resources than necessary.
On Lotus Notes 8.5.3 persistent chat is not supported?
Thanks for the tips.
