SAI going to zero - 100% when cluster is off

Hi,

I have two Dominos 653FP1 running on AIX 5.1. The two servers are clustered. When looking at the SAI they lay permantly around 20 or lower which I dont understand. I have looked around in the forum and have found some hints, eg. added Server_Transinfo_Range=10 to notes.ini, but this does not change anything. 1 minute is SAI on 0, then 100 and back to 10.

The servers are both having 2 net cards where the cluster replica is running through one of the cards. By disabling the cluster the servers lay pretty much constantly on SAI 100.

As well do the servers run with TL (if it has any effect).

What can I do in this case to avoid the SAI going up and down - currently my mood follows the SAI… :frowning:

Hope somebody has some good input here.

Thanks.

Subject: SAI going to zero - 100% when cluster is off.

Some time back I found and used an excellent posting by Daniel Nashed http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/0/b7375b29a6ac7a7cc1256de00034a225 that explains not only the SAI but also the expansion factor. Although I’m running Win2000 and Win2003 servers I also found redbook sg245162.pdf very helpful, in particular section 10.2.13 and Appendix C.Instead of regularly bottoming out, the SAI on my big servers generally runs in the 60’s now, occasionally dipping down into the 40’s.
