It’s my first experience with lotus domino designer i have made a simple java agent that extracts some data from a local database.The problem is that when i click on the name of the agent in the agent list and i select run, a message appear ‘this agent must be run from a view window’ so how we can run an agent ?

Look the properties of your agent, for “Target”
you have “All selected documents” or “All documents view” selected, for this reason you have this message.
Instead choice “nothing”.
Look Desigenr Help for the target’s agent.

In the agent properties box, you need to change your “Runtime Target” to “None”. It is probably set to “Selected documents” or “All documents in view”
